US Embassy in India processes record number of visa applications in 2023
In a social media post on its official handle on X, formerly Twitter, the US Embassy expressed the accomplishment and conveyed that the Consular Team is gearing up to serve thousands of students, workers, tourists, and more in the upcoming weeks, coinciding with the busy holiday travel season. The post also extended wishes for safe travels to all applicants.

The visitors’ centers were closed in 2017 because of maintenance issues and then the pandemic.
Both the centers have costly audio-visual equipment in addition to a conference
room, restaurants, and some shops selling handloom and handicraft items popular in the
region. The objective behind opening the visitors’ centers at Ajanta and Ellora was to attract companies to hold meetings in their conference halls.
